When we dream of sitting in our garden, or in the park or mountains, painting, there is often so much beauty surrounding us that we don’t know where to start – this is a great introduction to outdoor painting. You will sit in the courtyard outside the Paintbox and spend the day painting what pleases you in a fun and casual manner. You will make notes, do small studies, play with paint, mood and light, explore, simplify, define and paint the things that excite you. In this class you will use watercolor and some pen and ink. This will be a wonderful, fun, and non-intimidating way to explore painting in the outdoors. You will do a series of small 5"x6" paintings…a full plein aire day of painting.
July 11, Saturday, 10:30 – 4:30
$90.00 – Karin Huehold instructor

SOLAR PAINTING WITH URSULA REYNOLDS - How about using sunshine to help you paint - this class uses the warm sunshine rays to help make special effects on your paper. The children will paint colorful and bright paintings using both the paintbox courtyard and the paintbox studio. Their inspiration will be the outdoors, the sun dancing off their paintings as birds fly overhead and the new leaves and flowers happily giving us ideas for our expressive art. The children will use acrylics for the first two weeks and watercolor for the last two weeks.
